Founder: Warner Woodworth

Warner Woodworth is a founder of MicroBusiness Mentors and has served as chairman of the board since 2003. He is a social entrepreneur and professor at the Marriott School, Brigham Young University, where he teaches international development, corporate change and consulting, NGO and social enterprise management, ethics and global business sustainability, as well as other courses. He is a consultant to major corporations, governments and trade unions. Warner has published ten books and more than 180 articles, many on microcredit and NGOs. Over the last decade he has been a founder and/or director of 16 NGOs that in 2006 alone raised in excess of $10 million, trained some 200,000 microentrepreneurs, and grew to over 1.2 million microfinance clients. The grand objective of all these efforts is to empower the poor and build family self-reliance in 21 countries. He holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in organizational behavior from the University of Michigan. Program Coordinator: Keven Stratton

Keven Stratton is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a B.A. in communications (emphasis in public relations) and has worked with MBM since April 2010. Keven specializes in grassroots organizing and lobbying having done work in Los Angeles and Utah. Currently, he works at a conservative think tank in Salt Lake. Keven and his wife, Macie, have two children.

Director of Training: Spencer Bush

Spencer has served as the Director of Training for MBM since 2009, and has led the development of MBM's current curriculum and training programs. He graduated from Brigham Young University in business strategy and economics, and currently is a financial analyst for Adobe Systems.

Director of Communications: Natalie Dance

Natalie Dance serves as the Director of Communications and has been with MBM since April 2011. A junior majoring in marketing at Brigham Young University, Natalie plans to pursue a career in social entrepreneurship after graduation. Before starting at MBM, Natalie served a volunteer mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Panama for eighteen months. Her interests include running, dancing, painting, hiking, biking, and reading. She is also an animal-lover, a racquetball enthusiast, and an ice cream addict.

Director of IT: Tim Chaves

Tim Chaves has been part of MBM's team since January 2008. As Director of IT he is responsible for improving MBM's operations with technology. Tim graduated as Valedictorian of the BYU's David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies in August 2008. He is a full-time entrepreneur, having founded and currently running a consumer products business, iWrap, and a web development business, Reef3. Tim and his wife Aubrey have two children.

Class Coordinator: Ridge Goodman

Ridge Goodman serves as a class coordinator for MBM and is also part of the marketing team. Ridge is a 21-year-old exercise science major at BYU and recently returned from a 2-year volunteer mission in Guatemala for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ridge loves working with non-profit organizations and plans on minoring in non-profit management. He is excited to pursue a life of non-profit medicine after his undergraduate experience. Ridge enjoys traveling, rock-climbing, photography, soccer, snowboarding, and loves Latin American food, especially fried plantains with black beans and scrambled eggs.

Trainer: Brett Leavitt

Brett Leavitt joined MBM in September 2011. He is studying Business with a Finance emphasis at BYU. He is also a TA for American Heritage, where he teaches students about the American Founding and help them become more involved in their communities. He learned Spanish while I served the Hispanic community as a volunteer representative for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is continuing to serve the Hispanic community as a volunteer here at MBM by teach budding entrepreneurs how to bring their business ideas to fruition. His career goals involve either working in private equity or going to law school. In the long run, he plans to start a non-profit organization in his hometown of Las Vegas, providing free tutoring to underprivileged kids.

Trainer: Brian Farnsworth

Brian Farnsworth is a trainer for the English clients of MicroBusiness Mentors. A sophomore at Brigham Young University, he is a pre-management major and is preparing to apply to the School of Accountancy. He returned last year from Brazil where he volunteered for two years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After returning from Brazil, Brian volunteered for eight months as a program director for the Boys and Girls Club of Provo through the BYU Center for Service and Learning. He hopes to earn a Master's degree of Accountancy and pursue a career in social entrepreneurship. He enjoys sports, reading, and keeping in touch with the friends he made in Brazil.

Alumni Trainer: Ben Wolfley

Ben Wolfley serves as a trainer for the alumni for MBM. Ben is new this year to the organization. Currently he is a freshman at Brigham Young University and plans to study chemical engineering. Within the next year he will serve a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Ben is an avid promoter of micro credit and business and believes it can be a powerful tool in ending world poverty. It is the ultimate way to "teach a man to fish."
