MBM's Impact<< Previous Next >>Daisy AldereteDaisy Alderete and her family have been working together for some time, hoping to build up their business of bilingual advertising. Living in Provo, Utah, Daisy recognized a need for advertising that reaches both the English-speaking and the rapidly growing Spanish-speaking markets. With the changing demographics in the city, the financial rewards of reaching and integrating these two markets are potentially very large, and Daisy was determined to capitalize on the opportunity. From the learning she received from Micro Business Mentors, Daisy felt organized and empowered. With the loan she received upon graduation from the program, Daisy has been able to purchase needed capital and advance the progress of her business towards expanded operation. In addition, Daisy has been networking and making contacts that will prove valuable as her business grows and faces new challenges. She recently paid off her first loan and will shortly be taking out another, larger loan to rent a high-quality printing machine and hire a graphic designer. Daisy is a great example of an entrepreneur that is persistent, forward-looking, and ready to take on the challenges of starting a business. |
